Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of place identity and Islamic values on tourists’ visit intention to Aceh, focusing on Banda Aceh, Sabang, and Aceh Besar. This study employed a quantitative approach using a survey method. Data were collected from 150 Muslim domestic tourists outside Aceh through a structured questionnaire and analyzed using multiple linear regression with SPSS. The results show that place identity and Islamic values positively and significantly affect visit intention. Simultaneously, place identity and Islamic values significantly influenced tourists’ intention to visit Aceh. These findings indicate that tourists’ visit intentions are shaped not only by destination attractiveness but also by the integration of destination identity and Islamic values. This study contributes to the development of value-based tourism literature by highlighting the importance of integrating place identity and Islamic values to strengthen tourists’ intention to visit Islamic destinations.
