Peer Review Process

AT-TASYRI': Jurnal Ilmiah Prodi Muamalah follows a single-blind peer review process, in which reviewer identities are concealed from authors while reviewers are aware of the author's identity. This approach is intended to preserve the quality, integrity, and credibility of published work.

Every submitted manuscript is evaluated by at least two independent reviewers with relevant subject-matter expertise to determine the manuscript's suitability for publication and to maintain the scholarly quality of the journal.

The review and production process proceeds through the following stages.

1. Submission of Paper

The corresponding author submits the manuscript through AT-TASYRI's Open Journal System (OJS) at https://ejournal.staindirundeng.ac.id/index.php/Tasyri/ . All submissions must be made through this online system to keep the review process transparent and traceable.

2. Initial Evaluation by the Editor-in-Chief (maximum 2 weeks)

The Editor-in-Chief checks that the manuscript is complete (title, abstract, keywords, required declarations) and consistent with the journal's Focus and Scope and Author Guidelines. Manuscripts that fall outside the journal's scope or have obvious methodological flaws may be rejected at this stage without further review. Manuscripts that pass this evaluation are forwarded to a section editor within 2 weeks of submission.

3. Assignment to Reviewers by the Section Editor (2 weeks)

The section editor assesses the manuscript's relevance to their area of expertise, then invites reviewers based on subject-matter fit and the absence of any conflict of interest, aiming to secure at least two independent reviewers within 2 weeks.

4. Single-Blind Review (approximately 1 month)

Reviewers evaluate the manuscript's relevance and originality, clarity and structure of argumentation, methodological quality, adherence to citation standards, and potential scholarly contribution, and prepare a detailed review. Each reviewer recommends one of: Accept, Accept with Revisions, Resubmit for Review, or Reject. This stage takes approximately 1 month.

5. Post-Review Evaluation & Editorial Decision

Reviewer recommendations are discussed at an editorial board meeting to reach a decision. Editors consider all returned reviews but are not strictly bound by them; where recommendations differ substantially, an additional reviewer may be invited. The final decision is then communicated by the editor to the corresponding author.

6. Author Revision (approximately 1 month)

For manuscripts receiving an Accept with Revisions or Resubmit for Review decision, the author revises the manuscript according to reviewer comments and submits the revised version together with a point-by-point response. This stage takes approximately 1 month; manuscripts requiring major revision (Resubmit for Review) undergo a second round of review before a final decision is issued.

7. Notification & Payment of APC

Once a manuscript is decided as Accept, or its revisions are approved, the author is notified and issued an Article Processing Charge (APC) is FREE. There is no Article Submission fee (IDR 0). Payment must be completed before the manuscript proceeds to copyediting.

8. Copyediting, Layout Editing & Production

Once payment is confirmed, the manuscript undergoes copyediting (language and adherence to journal style) and layout editing, in line with the journal's publication schedule.

9. Publication

The finalized article is assigned a DOI and compiled into the next scheduled issue. AT-TASRYI': Jurnal Ilmiah Prodi Muamalah is published twice a year (Juni and December); accepted articles are held until their assigned issue is released, and are then made freely available as open-access, downloadable PDF files.

Types of Editorial Decisions

Accept The manuscript is accepted and published in the form submitted, with no further modification required. Accept with Revisions The manuscript will be published in Al-bank subject to minor or major modifications being made; revisions are checked by an editor prior to publication. Resubmit for Review The manuscript requires significant reworking and may ultimately be accepted, but must undergo a second round of review. Reject The manuscript will not be published, and authors may not resubmit a revised version of the same manuscript to Al-bank.

Overall Timeline

The estimated total time from submission to publication ranges from approximately 4 to 6 months, comprising: initial evaluation by the Editor-in-Chief (maximum 2 weeks), reviewer assignment by the section editor (2 weeks), the review stage (approximately 1 month), and author revision (approximately 1 month). The remaining time covers copyediting, layout editing, and production aligned with the journal's biannual publication cycle (January/July), manuscripts accepted close to an issue's compilation deadline roll over to the following issue, which can extend the total time toward the upper end of 6 months.

Correspondence

All correspondence concerning manuscripts should be directed to the Editor of AT-TASRI': Jurnal Ilmiah Prodi Muamalah. The Editor will direct all correspondence to the lead author, who is responsible for sharing communications with other authors. Beyond communication concerning the review, manuscripts accepted for publication may require additional correspondence to complete copyediting and layout editing.
