1. Peer Review Model: Double-Blind Peer Review
At-Ta'dib: Jurnal Ilmiah Prodi Pendidikan Agama Islam implements a Double-Blind Peer Review system to ensure fairness, objectivity, and impartiality throughout the evaluation process.
Under this model, authors' identities are concealed from reviewers, and reviewers' identities are concealed from authors. This approach is intended to minimize potential bias and ensure that editorial decisions are based solely on the manuscript's academic merit, originality, methodological quality, and relevance.
To support the double-blind review process, authors are required to remove all identifying information from the manuscript before submission, including names, institutional affiliations, acknowledgments, and self-identifying references that may reveal their identity.
2. Peer Review Workflow
All manuscripts submitted to At-Ta'dib: Jurnal Ilmiah Prodi Pendidikan Agama Islam are processed through several stages of evaluation.
Upon submission through the journal's Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform, the manuscript first undergoes an initial editorial screeningconducted by the Editorial Team. At this stage, the manuscript is evaluated for its conformity with the journal's scope, writing guidelines, ethical standards, formatting requirements, and originality. Manuscripts that do not meet the basic requirements may be returned to the authors for technical revisions or rejected without external review (desk rejection).
Manuscripts that successfully pass the initial screening are then assigned to at least two independent reviewers who possess expertise relevant to the manuscript's subject area. The reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on several criteria, including originality, theoretical contribution, methodological rigor, quality of analysis, clarity of presentation, adequacy of references, and relevance to the field of Islamic Religious Education.
Following the review process, reviewers provide detailed comments and recommendations to the editor. Based on these evaluations, the editor makes an initial decision, which may include:
- Accept Submission
- Minor Revisions Required
- Major Revisions Required
- Reject Submission
If revisions are required, the manuscript is returned to the author(s) for revision. Authors are expected to address all reviewer comments and submit a revised manuscript accompanied by a response letter explaining the changes made.
For major revisions, the revised manuscript may be returned to the original reviewers for further evaluation. Once the reviewers and editor are satisfied that all concerns have been adequately addressed, the manuscript may proceed to final acceptance.
Accepted manuscripts then enter the copyediting, proofreading, and production stages before being published in the journal.
