Abstract

Along the development of the era, the use of Arabic is not only for worship, but more than it, Arabic is used in interpersonal and educational interactions. Arabic as a second language learned by Indonesian students. there are difficulties when learning it because of the characteristics of Arabic which are different from other languages. Therefore, it is necessary to have a special method used to teach Arabic to students, especially for the students of Darul Amin Bustanul Arifin Islamic Boarding School. Where learning begins with imitation or imitating the behavior of a model. This method is known as the behavioristic learning method of Albert Bandura. This research is a field research with a qualitative descriptive method. The data collected is based on observation, interviews and documentation. The data is processed through triangulation. The results of this study are that the Arabic language learning method at Darul Amin Bustanul Arifin Islamic Boarding School begins by observing and imitating of an ustadz or or ustadzah  with the first steps, attention (apperception, greeting, and ice breaking) before starting the lesson. Second, retention (making concept maps, exercises, use of simple words, and notes). Third, production (practice and question and answer). Fourth, motivation (praise, punishment, hopes and ideals).
