Abstract

Teaching material is one of important elements in the learning process, besides as one of learning sources. Therefore, the teaching materials should be prepared by using a correct procedure and consider the preparation principles such as; language, culture, education and teaching methods. However, some existing teaching materials and exercises are irrelevant with the designed materials in the curricula and the students’ live. As a consequence, the students tend to be passive with the taught subject. One of approach in the learning process of foreign language is situational approach, which provides the teaching material in the form of students’ daily live situations. Therefore, the learning process is focused on the role of the students in developing their knowledge and their participation in the learning process to maximally improve their speaking skills.This research was a development research with ADDIE development model. Two experts in Arabic teaching were involved in validating of this research.
