Abstract

The study aimed to identify the nature of the language and its use in teaching Arabic to non-native speakers. Language is considered the main element in every linguistic study, as it is the basis for communication and the basis for understanding between individuals. It is no different from other languages, but rather it has features and characteristics that distinguish it from others. This research conducts a desk search to obtain the data it needs about the nature of the language and its use in teaching Arabic to non-native speakers. The results of this study show that language has several natures: 1) Language is speech. 2) Language is a social phenomenon. 3) Language is a changing organism. 4) Language is acquired.. 5) Language is a system and rules. Concerning the nature and characteristics of the language for the sake of the Arabic language, teachers of the Arabic language must use the appropriate methods of teaching the foreign language to the students of Arabic. And update his method of work in line with the development of the levels of his students and improve their linguistic performance to achieve the goal of education
