Abstract

Psycholinguistics is an integration between psychology and language where the object of this study is how a person understands, acquires and displays the language he learns. The role of psycholinguistics in the world of education is very much, as a psychologist the teacher can understand how students develop as a learner, what are the characteristics, abilities and intelligence, motivation, interests, experiences, attitudes, personality and so on. This is evidenced by previous studies which show that there is a relationship, or the role of psycholinguistics in the educational aspect. But these studies focus more on theoretical aspects, so that practical aspects of applying psycholinguistics in learning Arabic are needed. With examples of its application to the process of training fluency in speaking. This study takes a qualitative approach by making literacy related to psychology and psycholinguistics the main source of data acquisition, which is then analyzed using descriptive analysis. And at the end of this study the authors concluded that a procedural example of applying psycholinguistics in training Arabic fluency through stages 1) Understanding individual behavior when learning Arabic, both when the process of understanding the language being studied, the process and workings of students acquiring the language, and how it displays fashahah of the learning outcomes. 2) Understand the causes and factors that influence the three stages of language in the process of increasing fluency. 3) Provide directions or improvements that are appropriate to student psychology, both affective, cognitive and psychomotor aspects. 4) Evaluating and monitoring the improvement of students' verbal fluency skills with the perspective of language psychology (psycholinguistics).
