Peer Review Process

All manuscripts submitted to this journal must follow the focus and scope and Author Guidelines of this journal. The submitted manuscripts must fulfill scientific merit or novelty appropriate to the focus and scope of this journal.

All manuscripts submitted to this journal must be written in Indonesian or English. Authors for whom English is not their native language are encouraged to have their papers checked before submission for grammar and clarity in English submission. English language and copyediting services can be provided by International Science Editing and Asia Science Editing. The work must not have been published or submitted for publication elsewhere.

All submitted manuscripts must be free from plagiarism contents. All authors are suggested to use plagiarism detection software to do the similarity checking (please use Turnitin or iThenticate to check the similarity). The similarity index is expected to be less than 20%. Editors will also check the similarity of manuscripts in this journal by using Turnitin or iThenticate software.

At first, manuscripts submitted to the journal will undergo an initial review by the editorial board and it will take 1-2 weeks to decide whether the manuscript passed initial screening to be considered for the peer review process or get rejected.

All manuscripts passing the initial screening will be reviewed by peer reviewers selected (at least one reviewer) by our editors according to their expertise for 2-4 weeks with a double-blind review policy. Using the double-blind review policy, all names of authors and reviewers will be hidden throughout the review process. Authors and reviewers will not identify each other in the review process. The reviewers give scientific valuable comments improving the contents of the manuscript. Sometimes (if required) a third peer-reviewed is needed to give critical comments to the submitted manuscript.

All revisions requested by the reviewers and editorial board will be sent to the authors and should be uploaded in due time. The editor-in-chief will make the final decision based on the recommendation of the editors and reviewers. The duration of the manuscript acceptance process will depend on the duration of the reviewers’ responses and authors’ responses.

The final decision of manuscript acceptance is solely made by Editor in Chief (together with Editorial Board if required for consideration) according to reviewers’ critical comments. The final decision of the manuscript is solely based on the Editor and Editorial Board's final review which considers peer-reviewers' comments (but not solely by Reviewer).

Publication of accepted articles including assigning the article to a published issue will be made by Editor in Chief by considering the sequence of accepted dates and geographical distribution of authors as well as thematic issues.
