TEACHER'S STRATEGY IN HELPING TUNAGRAHITA STUDENTS
Abstract
The research is aimed at finding out how the teacher’s strategy to help tunagrahita students in the new normal covid-19 in SLB country meulaboh western aceh and the obstacles teachers faced in asissting tunagrahita students in the new normal covid-19 in SLB country meulaboh western aceh. The study is fieldwork througha qualitative descriptive approach. Data collection techniques are conducted by obcervation, interviews, and documentation. As for the subject in this study are two teachers a specialist in tunagrahita, two teachers instead of a tunagrahita specialist, and headmaster in SLB country Meulaboh Western Aceh. Based on research it may be known that there are various strategies a teacher performs in helping tunagrahita students: individual strategies, kooperative strategies, interesting media use, using effective learning models and giving students motivation. Frequent obstacles include teachers who are difficult to guide tunagrahita students, the factors of students’ parents, students parents still use cell phones, inadequate internet facilities, parents preoccupation, and a lack of understanding of IT
