Publication Ethics

Basha’ir: Scientific Journal of the Quran and Tafsir Studies Program is an official scientific publication that publishes writings from research and theoretical studies on the Quran, including 1) Quranic Studies, 2) Quran Translation, 3) Quranic Exegesis Studies, 4) Research on the Quran, and 5) Unpublished Living Quran. This statement of scientific ethics is a declaration by all parties involved in the research journal publication process, including managers, editors, peer reviewers, and authors. This statement of scientific publication ethics is based on the Chief LIPI Regulation Number 5 of 2014 concerning the Code of Ethics for Scientific Publications. The ethics of scientific publication uphold three ethical values in publication, namely (i) Neutrality, which is free from conflicts of interest in publication management; (ii) Justice, which grants authorship rights to those entitled as authors/writers; and (iii) Honesty, which is free from duplication, fabrication, falsification, and plagiarism (DF2P) in publication. In order to avoid plagiarism, every manuscript submitted will be further examined using a plagiarism checker.
