The ongoing discourse regarding the interpretation of "syajarah" in the Qur'an lacks a consensus. This is evident in the diverse array of perspectives and explanations surrounding its meaning. Consequently, the author delves deeper into an examination of the semantic analysis of "syajarah" using Toshihiko Izutsu's approach. The selection of this methodology is rooted in Izutsu's semantic framework, which provides a platform for exploring the nuanced meanings of a word. A pivotal aspect of this investigation is to scrutinize the semantic dimensions of "syajarah." The author employs a qualitative methodology, specifically a literature study, to navigate this exploration. The data utilized encompasses information gleaned from various sources, including books, journal articles, and electronic documents, bolstering the research process. This inquiry reveals that the fundamental meaning of "syajarah" is 'tree.' The syntagmatic relational meanings include associations with Allah, Naha, Syaitan, Zalim, and Masalan. In terms of paradigmatic meaning, the words Nabat and Zuru' come into play. While the synchronic and diachronic meanings of "syajarah" have experienced temporal shifts, the core meaning has remained relatively stable. Furthermore, diverse interpretations generally align with the basic meaning of "syajarah," with the exception of Quraish Shihab, who suggests a figurative understanding in the context of the Prophet Adam's story. Notably, when coupled with the word "taqrabu," the figurative interpretation of "syajarah" emerges, implying actions that may lead to social harm.

This article explores the representation of fathers' roles in the Qur'an, addressing a recent bias that narrowly sees them as providers, overlooking their crucial role as character builders for their children. The Qur'an illuminates the father's role through the stories of Luqman, Ibrahim, and Syu'aib, showcasing the multifaceted nature of their roles with a focus on two-way communication and interpersonal dynamics. Using a qualitative approach, specifically a literature study with a descriptive-analytical method, the analysis reveals a communication framework in the Qur'an's verses concerning fathers and their children. The Qur'an delineates the responsibilities fathers should uphold in nurturing their children's development. Additionally, the stories of Luqman, Ibrahim, and Syu'aib demonstrate unique and individualistic fatherly approaches, with the communication strategies employed positively impacting the psychological well-being of children.

This article aims to discuss the concept of the purpose of human life from the perspective of the Qur'an, how humans were created and the function of humans as caliphs on this earth in carrying out the mandate from Allah swt. while on the surface of the earth. Humans were created in the best form with various advantages given that they can adapt, are able to choose good paths and bad ones so as not to lead them down a path that will destroy them. Apart from that, humans are creatures that can be educated so that with this potential humans can be educated in a direction that is in accordance with Islamic teachings. The purpose and benefit of knowing the concept of humans in the Qur'an is to know the various strengths and advantages that humans have so that by knowing the conditions and potential they have, humans can find out the ideal method for developing the potential that humans have so that they can lead the world in development. civilization in the direction prescribed in the Qur'an and al-Hadith.

DIMENSI KOMODIFIKASI MUSHAF ALQURAN

One of the ways to maintain the authenticity of the Quran now is by printing and publishing official mushaf, which is regulated through a decree of the Minister of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia. And the phenomenon of industrialization has spread to various aspects of life, even religion. The Quran is a religious symbol that has experienced the most industrialization process through the Quran printing process. Therefore, this article aims to analyze the extent of the commodification of the Quran in Indonesia so that the Mushaf becomes a commodity. Using a qualitative method and descriptive-analytical techniques with the lens of religious commodification, this paper finds that the market for Quran copies in the contemporary era is those who are technologically literate. Thus, Quran copies are printed on a large scale and marketed in offline and online stores with the aim of meeting people's needs for the Quran. Therefore, the commodification process is based on the people's need for the Quran which is increasing from time to time, and is supported by government policies related to the printing of the Quran copies. Even though the Quran copies are printed without using attachments and additional features but purely the text of the Quran, the copies will still become commodities. Due to the increasing demand of the community for the Mushaf and becoming a business field for Mushaf printing, it results in a process of production by producers and consumption by consumers, which then results in buying and selling transactions of Quran copies. And in the end there was a dimension of commodification in the manuscripts of the Koran.

TRADISI MENGHADIAHKAN PAHALA SURAT AL-FATIHAH KEPADA MAYIT

The reading of Surat Al-Fatihah for mayit is a tradition that is commonly carried out in the community regardless of differences of opinion regarding the delivery of merit to mayit. The results of this study mention that the tradition of reading Al-Fatihah is included as 'urf yang shahih. The difference of opinion conveyed the reading reward is caused by differences in scholars in using propositions that discuss a problem. But this difference should not create divisions between groups because a difference is a grace that must be addressed properly. This research uses a field research method with a deductive approach to see the phenomenon of the tradition of rewarding mayit, then condensed through related postulates. From this research, it was obtained that there were several differences in scholars regarding the delivery of merit to mayit or not. The difference is due to differences in the use of postulates. Some scholars consider that the hadith can be understood textually while others understand it contextually.
